Who Are We?

Monkey Guarding Borneo is an initiative powered by a dedicated team of volunteers. Co-founded by wildlife enthusiasts Kane, Ineke, and Alice, we are fortunate to have received training from the Jane Goodall Institute Singapore. Our mission is to educate and advocate for the wild macaques of Borneo while promoting understanding, coexistence, and respect for these intelligent and often misunderstood animals. We have developed a variety of educational presentations and workshops for children, teachers, security staff, restaurant and hotel staff, and people working outdoors. We also organise guided monkey walks to help communities better understand and safely coexist with macaques.

Our Mission
At Monkey Guarding Borneo, our mission is to protect and advocate for the welfare of wild macaques by:
-
Providing education to the public on macaque behavior and conservation.
-
Promoting peaceful coexistence between macaques and local communities.
-
Advocating for humane treatment and sustainable practices to support Borneo's unique wildlife.
Through collaboration, education, and passion, we aim to create a future where humans and macaques thrive together in harmony.
