Remembering Dr. Jane Goodall, A Lasting Inspiration

Dr. Jane Goodall’s remarkable journey began in the forests of Gombe Tanzania, where her groundbreaking research on chimpanzees transformed the way we understand animals and our connection to them. Through patience, compassion and determination, she showed the world that animals are individuals with emotions, intelligence and social bonds. Her life’s work has inspired generations to protect wildlife and live in greater harmony with nature.

We are deeply grateful to the Jane Goodall Institute Singapore for the training and guidance we received from their dedicated team of trainers. This support has played and still plays a vital role in shaping who we are today.

For us at Monkey Guarding Borneo, meeting Jane Goodall in December 2024 was truly an unforgettable moment. It took place during her 90th Birthday Tour, organised by the Jane Goodall Institute Singapore.
We spent five days with her, listening to her talks, and even had the opportunity for a private conversation, an experience that left a deep and lasting impression on our team. Her wisdom, warmth, knowledge, and encouragement reaffirmed our mission and strengthened our commitment to protecting long-tailed macaques and promoting peaceful coexistence.
To honor her extraordinary life and legacy, we remember Dr. Jane Goodall on April 3rd, following the beliefs of a woman who has truly changed the world for the better.
